Almost a year since the last update. Seems like yesterday to me though. A small update to bring you up to date.
 We have a new rehearsal place. A pretty large place where we have spent much time constructing a large scene so we can arrange concerts etc. Tomorrow (Saturday the 4th of June) we will play a little gig along side with our friends in "Loud n Proud". If you are in the area you are most welcome. The party will end when the last man drop.
 If you play in a band and want a gig (no payment) please contact us. We plan for regular evenings with live music and other arrangements. Back to Arch Nemesis: We have a few new songs that we hope to record after this summer. There are a little change in the lineup. When things are straightened out we will let you know. Most of us are going to the Sweden Rock Festival next week. Maybe we'll see you there. We have a gig in Oslo at Mandatory Festival,
September the 8th at Subscene. Other bands confirmed are Witchammer and Where angels falls. More bands are tba...

Hi there metalheads. It's been a while since last update so I decided to bring you up to date. The first concert with the new line-up including three guitars proved to be a great success for us, even though the stage was a bit small we still managed to kick some serious ass and this gave us a real boost for future gigs. We also received some great news from our record company; the first pressing of “Of Mind and Fantasy” is almost sold out so we would like to thank all of you for buying it. We are honoured to be the band of the month on Emeralsword -Weblog and we send our thanx to the lovely lady who runs that site. At the moment we are rehearsing like hell and working hard on securing gigs for the coming months, so far three gigs are confirmed and a couple more will be clear soon but if you are interested in having us at you event or know of places we should contact please give us a hint. We are working on putting together our first videos as we speak, the first one will be a collage of live and fun backstage/party shots and later this summer we will start recording a more complex video. Hopefully these will be shown in the near future and the first one will be added to the download section as soon as possible. This is all for now, the gigs confirmed are:

Merry X-mas and a Heavy Metal year.
After using to much time finding the right persons, Arch Nemesis now have found what they where looking for. As mentioned earlier Lars Solbakken is replacing Motvind on guitars. As a fellow axeman Espen Carlsen will add his guitars, making Arch Nemesis more powerful, dynamic and energetic.

New axe-man. Arch Nemesis has recruited a new guitar player; Lars Solbakken has been brought in to replace Mr.Motvind on the rhythm guitar, his first gig with the band will be at the Elements Of Metal Festival in December.We are still looking for a second guitarist but for now Nesmoht is handling the lead guitar. We are working our Asses off rehearsing for the festival and the spirits are high, after a long period of trouble it finally feels great again and the band haven’t had so much fun rehearsing in a long time. We are back to kick some ass….
Of Mind And Fantasy. The new album is finished at last, now all that remains is sending the master to FaceFront and sit back and wait, hopefully it will hit the streets sometime soon for you all to enjoy. New version of I dream is out for you to download.

Arch Nemesis are currently testing a new rhythm-guitarist, no names will be dropped at this point but we had a party with the dude and if his skills on the guitar are as great as the guy himself we got a winner. It also looks like our rehearsal-studio problem is solved for the moment; we are going back to where it all started at Brydeslottet Rockeverksted, this is the same place we used to record our debut “Shadows in the Mirror”. But we are still on the lookout for a place of our own where we can create our own little Rock-Club. The recordings are closing to an end, hopefully if all goes well, we will start mixing towards the end of August.

Allright folks, it`s about fu***ng time we updated this site and told you what’s going on. First of, Motvind has decided to leave the band to concentrate fully on his job as axe-man in the mighty Dimension F3h, we are sorry to see him leave as he together with Nesmoht was the founder of the band back in 98` but we wish him all the best in the future, he will still be a part of the Elements Of Metal crew for the future festivals though. On a happier note, Arch Nemesis has just signed a new record-deal with the Norwegian label FaceFront and are happy to join many of the friends we have learned to know trough the years of metal, great Norwegian acts like Griffin, Guardians Of Time, Highland Glory, Backstreet Girls, Trivial Act and Pagan`s Mind are all bands that are or have been a part of FaceFront and we feel honoured to be included in such great company. We are also happy to announce that after weeks of “begging” we finally persuaded Jaz to return to the band, but due to the fact that he will become a father in August he has made it clear that his family obligations will always be first priority, still, we are glad to have him back.
So, a new deal is signed and that usually means a record is to be released don’t it? You bet it does, we are just a few weeks away from completing our second album “Of Mind and Fantasy”, all that remains is some vocal-tracks, then a few days of mixing and mastering, release will be sometime during this fall if all goes well. At the moment we are also searching for a new rehearsal-place, hopefully that will be in place in a few weeks. As soon as that is fixed we will hold auditions looking for one or two new rhythm-guitarists so if you feel the call, keep checking this site for dates, you may also send a mail to Nesmoht if you want some info on what kind of persons we are looking for. - It's been a while since the last update so I will try to fill you in with the latest news. We have found the title for the album. It will be named "of Mind and Fantasy". We think the name suits our way of creating our music. Arch Nemesis and Edgerunner-Records have decided to spilt up and cancel their contract. There was no hard feelings between any of the parts, we both felt that it was the right thing to do. We are still friends and we will share beer again. We are still in the search of an lead guitar player. Håvar was supposed to do some solo guitar on the album, but we felt that his style was not what we wanted. We are also looking for a new record company. We are in contact with a few names. More info on this will come. We are also looking forward to do some gigs, so if you are interested in booking Arch Nemesis, please contact us. Nesmoht has left Dimension F3h, now concentrating on Arch Nemesis.

Nearly all the instruments are done. Whats remaining now, is the basses, vocals and some guestvocals. So far we are very satisfied with the recording progress. Things have gone much better than we could have hoped. Håvar (Worm) will join in for a guest apperance. Jaz has started designing the covers and some merchandises. Still we have no release title or release dates to give. More info will come.

Arch Nemesis has entered the studio, recording their second release. Morfeus is the man driving us crazy behind the mixers. If all goes as planned, all the recordings will be done early February. There is no new information on album title, release date etc. In the middle of this process our lead guitar player Inge Thorin has decided to leave Arch Nemesis due to personal interests. There was just not enough time for his personal interests aside with Arch Nemesis. We have yet to decide what we will do with this in the future. For the album Nesmoht will do the guitar solos. More news will be posted during the studio process. We will publish some pictures to.

Message from web designer. I am so fed up with that old flash site. I received complaints from users who could not browse the site as it was meant to be seen. Another annoying factor was the updates. It was a messy operation every time the site needed an update. Therefore. I decided to make the new site with NO flash animation or other annoying shit. The main purpose with this new design is easy access, total control and a pleasant and nice look. I will first concentrate only on the Arch Nemesis part of anemesis.com. When i feel satisfied enough, I'll start designing the Elements of Metal part. I hope you like it and that you enjoyed your stay here. Arch Nemesis is celebrating their 5 year's in show anniversary, and Nesmoth's 30 years birthday. The party is set to 13.12.03 at Vonheim Kodal. We invite all of you who want to join us. There will be live performances by Arch Nemesis and two ore three more bands. When the bands are booked, we will post them here.
